AN URGENT PLEA FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Dear Friends, 

The Presidential Election of 2024 dealt a devastating blow to many hopes and dreams for our democracy. The incoming President does not have the best interests of people of color in his sights. This is a time when the NAACP needs to be vigilant and we need your financial and personal support. We need people to renew their yearly memberships of $30 and become members of this great civil rights organization. 

We need to organize our youth in a Youth Chapter of the NAACP this year. We need YOU to work on one of the many committees such as Education, Civil Engagement, Political Action, Communications, Environmental and Climate Justice, Health, Legal Redress, Community Coordination, Freedom Fund, Membership, Finance, Armed Services and Veterans and Religious Affairs. 

The NAACP NEEDS YOU TO GET OFF THE SIDELINES AND BECOME ACTIVE. If you have children enrolled in the public school system, you need to be concerned about the quality of education, the fairness of discipline, the availability of resources to enhance learning. You need to be on the Education Committee. This is just one example of how you can become involved. 

Another way you can be involved is by volunteering to help recruit members in your family and community. The Membership Chairperson is ready and willing to work with you to increase the membership in our branch. 

Can we count of you in 2025? There are some folks in Washington, DC and closer than that who want you to remain on the sidelines and not help make this democracy truly reflect the ideals of freedom and justice for all.
