GRIFFIN DAY

NAACP honored Griffin Day on September 16, 2024, a day after his birthdate, by laying a wreath on his grace. Rev. Leslie Francis Griffin (September 15, 1917–January 18, 1980), known as the Fightin Preacher, was a community leader and student advocate. He is the Griffin in the pivotal case Griffin v. County School Board of Prince Edward.
